Solid platform, but there are questions

I have very mixed feelings about this platform. On the one hand, it's a great platform, but on the other, there's a lot of seemingly unverified information there. Sometimes I look at company listings — the top ones, I assume, should be the best of the best, but there are fly-by-night companies there that don't have a decent website (one or two pages), no projects in their portfolios or case studies, no client reviews. How do they get there, and most importantly, why even show them at the top? Do something about them separately; there's no guarantee they'll complete the project, and you're mixing them up with trustworthy companies.

You guys are awemazing. only 1 thing that I think you should improve is there are several scam business that generate fake reviews. I know some of them (and they are some big names), with the most premium packages, and I know you won't touch them, but you should know as it will be used against you in the Court of the "Market" ;)

The feedback and review system is as clear as mud

The feedback and review system is flawed. One of my clients wanted to go through the review process and used my customised link to submit a review and got rejected - I have no idea why. I have had multiple communication problems and wish there was a way to migrate the handful of reviews they do have.

Reviewers are not validated so of limited value

A very bad review of my company was posted on the site, with logo and all details of my company correct. However the reviewer had never been a customer of my company. He referred to conversations with the owner as 'he', despite the fact that no men were even working at the company. The services being reviewed have never been offered by my company and we had never worked for a customer in his sector. It's clear that even basic checks were not made and anyone can simply post a review to harm the reputation of a company. The review was eventually taken down, but no explanation or compensation was offered. How can reviews be useful if they don't even carry out the checks that a site like Amazon does? Why don't they at least contact companies to check before they allow reviews to be posted? Two stars, and not one, as the team did respond quickly and took the review down after a couple of weeks.

Stick with Google Reviews. Even as a B2B business.

Unfortunately I haven't had a great experience with Clutch. We decided upon using the platform Clutch to ensure reviews were authentic as well as gave a detailed outline of the services and outcomes provided. Where the frustrations have sat is I've recently had two reviews that simply haven't appeared on my page. Getting well written B2B reviews is extremely valuable and not always easy. Fortunately two of my clients have submitted reviews in the past 2-3 weeks and they still haven't appeared on my profile page (or received an email stating they didn't pass inspection). I know for a fact both of these customers have received emails stating their submission was now in the review stage. I've now tried to contact Clutch but got an automated email back saying reviews can take "several business days" which we're now well past. Further to this each customer that has reviewed has received a host of emails recommending alternative services from their platform. It's been a disappointing journey and wish I'd stuck with Google Reviews.

We are not satisfied with this platform. We have an outstanding company profile and dozens of reviews, but after years of cooperation we have not gained any clients. We even purchased sponsorship packages. While you might receive some leads, 9 out of 10 of them are low quality. And no clients

Charged after cancellation and disappointed with the value of the service

I subscribed to a paid Clutch.co service for approximately one year. During that period, I did not receive any meaningful business benefit or leads that justified the subscription cost. Before the renewal date, I requested cancellation and received confirmation that the subscription had been cancelled. Despite this confirmation, my card was charged again. The payment was refunded several days later, but the amount returned was approximately $9 lower than the amount charged. I have requested clarification regarding the reason for the charge after cancellation and the missing amount. Another concern is that, while using the platform, I received multiple unsolicited emails from third parties offering to provide fake reviews. I cannot confirm any connection between those senders and Clutch.co, but these messages significantly reduced my confidence in the review ecosystem. Based on my experience, companies considering a paid subscription should carefully evaluate the expected benefits, confirm the cancellation terms in writing, and monitor their card statements after cancellation.

Clutch Sponsorship - Low Results, Wrong Audience, and No Option to Cancel

We’re really disappointed with our experience advertising on Clutch. In 7+ months and after spending 2600$ already for the sponsorship, only spam leads were generated, specifically 2 on Clutch platform (who could not be found on the web, did not engage and led nowhere), the rest would spam the email to provide their services. Plus, the results were much lower than expected in terms of numbers. We were aiming to reach leads from the UAE by advertising there, and Clutch itself reassured top users based on their analytics would be from UAE, yet the UAE visitors ranked 4th only, behind countries that clearly said weren’t relevant to us and our goals. The few visitors we got didn’t match the audience we were targeting and would constantly spam our email. We brought up our concerns a few times, but there was no real solution, they do not take accountability. They offer a higher package to reach more people, which is unprofessional since current package not only produces low results, but gets traffic from irrelevant locations and leads. The only advise they give is to make changes and updates to our profile based on their advice, which does not even help. And what’s worse there’s no way to cancel the agreement early. Even after months of low performance, Clutch forces us to continue paying for the full 12 months. As a small agency, this type of inflexible setup feels risky and unfair. This is why they do not have trials. We’re sharing our experience so that others can be more careful before committing.

A SCAM! Do not pay anything!

I strongly advise everyone to be very careful before paying this company. I paid for their Verified badge subscription for my business, but the badge was never issued. After taking my money, their communication became extremely slow, and they stopped replying properly to my emails. I also requested a refund, and they did not respond. On top of that, they did not even provide an invoice for the payment. In my experience, this service was not delivered as promised, and the lack of transparency and support is completely unacceptable. Based on how this was handled, I consider this a serious warning sign and I recommend that other businesses think twice before paying them. Be very careful before sending them any money.

Reviews Get Lost and Are Not Recovered

I wrote a review about an agency I work with on Clutch and received an email saying it had been received and would be reviewed for editorial standards. It's now 9 days later and I haven't heard anything and my review hasn't been published. Their support team did not personally respond to my inquiry and instead sent me a form email that didn't apply to my circumstance. I have since logged into their portal and cannot find the review that I wrote. The agency I wrote it for said that they've had this happen with other clients. So Clutch seems to have a buggy system that prevents it's main use case -- writing reviews for agencies -- from being realized. If I were an agency, I would never purchase this tool because it's reliable and can be frustrating for clients who take the time to write a review for them and have it completely disappear into the nether.

I completely agree with everyone giving Clutch.co a 1-star rating. No one should use Clutch.co to find companies! We lost $210,000 with a software development company that we found through Clutch.co. It seems like 95% of their reviews are fake. Please, do not support a platform like Clutch.co. They allow scammers to be listed on their site, and many of the companies listed on Clutch.co are either fake or engage in fraudulent practices, while the reviews are often misleading or fabricated. Use other sites to check companies, but do not rely on Clutch.co. They refused to publish our review about a company that scammed us. Clutch.co supports fake companies on their platform. Be aware and choose carefully. The company where we worked with is still listed on Clutch.co. Company name: Konstant Infosolutions pvt in Jairpur India. Do not work with this company!!! We lost our total money here and we got nothing! Also, what Clutch.co is currently stating as an answer is incorrect. Clutch.co responds with: "Your review was not published on the service provider's profile because a representative of your company had already left a review for that provider." This is completely wrong and incorrect! The person who left the review is not a representative of my company, and secondly, they developed something different that was paid for by another organization. First of all, we are not part of the same organization, and the founder is certainly not involved. Moreover, the project for which I paid was a standalone project and had nothing to do with the existing project. But sure, if you want to support companies that provide fraudulent and poor service in development, go ahead! That's why I left my review here on Trustpilot about clutch.co.

I wanted to leave a review for the company listed on clutch platform that I had a very negative experience with and first i was prompted to 5 stars review and couldn’t changed that and when i spent quite a bit of time to find how to put one star my review is not published because it is being reviewed. Just be careful with who they recommend. Looks like they cover up scammers.

Dishonest sales tactics and poor customer service

We're a video production company, were approached by Clutch consistently to join and sponsor some of their 'video production' lists. I was sceptical of committing to something for 12 months without a break clause or exit. Was told not a problem I could have a 3 month trial and I signed the contract and paid the fee. I then reached out to a client to write a review and they told me that it had been submitted and would be reviewed shortly. I spent some time adding items to our portfolio, updating our branding etc. Then their sales team reached out to me and told me I'd been given incorrect information and I actually couldn't have a three month trial, in fact I'd have to sign up to a year minimum because 'I need to give the platform a proper chance'. After arguing for quite some time I agreed in return for a discount. Then once I'd agreed, they reached out to me and it turns out they've lost the review that the client wrote for me and ask me to reach out to them again (I'm not harassing my clients to re write reviews). It's now been over a month and they're incredibly slow to respond taking over 2 weeks to get back to me on the review, and not being in the slightest bit helpful. No results, poor customer service, shady sales tactics. If you're a small business owner avoid, it's not worth the risk.

Hidden cancellation, silent auto-renewal, no reminder

Clutch.co provides no clear in-dashboard cancellation; the path is effectively hidden. Before auto-renewal, I received no timely notice. A charge was scheduled, but I had unlinked my card in advance, so no actual debit occurred. This falls short of Washington, DC requirements for annual auto-renewals (advance notice with a clear cancellation route) and the federal ROSCA standard for simple cancellation mechanisms. Please cancel the renewal/invoice, confirm my subscription is disabled, and make online cancellation obvious.

An unfortunate waste of money

An unfortunate waste of money. A year ago, I paid for a sponsorship that would place me higher up in my city for my specific service. A few months in, they changed their sponsorship opportunities which caused me to fall to 6th place and then down to 10th by the end of my term. It's unfortunate because a couple of years ago, these sponsorships really allowed me to grow, but now they seem to be a waste.

Our company has been listed here the last 10 years, and we have yet to recieve even one call for our services. Instead we are receiving quite a lot of cold calls from businesses trying to sell us their services. On top of that is is impossible to delete our company listing. Welcome to Hotel California...

Nothing but spam from other countries, I have looked through our web traffic reports and clutch.co is referring traffic from India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and more, waist of time and money if you are a US Based business looking for clients.

Absolute scum

Absolute scum. We spent pretty big budget for around 4 - 5 month. All that we get - spam. Zero leads, absolutely nothing. After raising our concerns we been threaten that if we will broke agreement to pay for 1 year - our profile will be deactivated.
