How to cancel a Clutch subscription (Verified or sponsorship)

The short answer
You can't cancel Clutch Verified or a sponsorship during the first 12 months. After that, both renew automatically unless you send a written cancellation at least five business days before your renewal date. Your renewal date is in your Vendor Dashboard; for an annual commitment it's 12 months from the day you started.
Steps to cancel Clutch Verified or a sponsorship
- Find your renewal date in the Vendor Dashboard and count back five business days. That's your deadline.
- Write the cancellation request as an email and send it to the address shown in the top-right corner of your Vendor Dashboard. Clutch's billing terms route sponsorship cancellations to your account manager and Verified cancellations to its Support team.
- Name the product (Verified, sponsorship, or featured listing) and the renewal date in the email, and keep a copy of what you sent.
- Ask for a written confirmation, then check the next card statement or invoice.
- To change the card on file instead, Clutch's billing terms point to billing@clutch.co.
What you can change during the first year
You can upgrade within the first 12 months, and Clutch bills the upgrade pro rata until your next billing date. You can't downgrade or cancel until the term ends. Verified is billed as one upfront payment for the year; sponsorship is invoiced monthly. Clutch's cancellation page also warns that failing to meet these terms "may result in penalties affecting your profile's access levels and visibility."
