Why agencies look past GoodFirms
GoodFirms has 35 Trustpilot reviews, posted between June 2020 and September 2026, and Trustpilot shows a 4.6. All but one are organic, meaning they arrived without a review link from GoodFirms, and those 34 average 3.68. Clutch's 135 organic reviews (May 2023 to September 2026) average 3.49, so on this like-for-like measure GoodFirms is slightly ahead. See our Clutch Trustpilot breakdown for the detail.
The one-star reviews date from 2020 to 2023. Businesses say GoodFirms created profiles for them without asking and then made those profiles hard to delete, and that support stopped answering. One says a paid subscription never started. Every review posted since 2025 is four or five stars, and about half thank the support team, so read the complaints with their dates in mind.
“My business (which is no longer open) is on this site, and I've never requested or given them permission to advertise on my behalf.”Lora, GoodFirms review on Trustpilot, October 2020
“Support never replies. And the most funny thing - there is no way to delete the account..”Andrew, GoodFirms review on Trustpilot, January 2023
“I purchased one Subscription plan From this company Website for Marketing my Business Listing and they are even not Start my subscription plan”Vinod K., GoodFirms review on Trustpilot, October 2020
Switching won't fix a profile you never asked for, and Clutch doesn't delete listings either, according to three of its own organic reviewers:
“I was told again that they do not remove listings.”Talosian, Clutch review on Trustpilot, January 2025

The 4 best GoodFirms alternatives
Clutch
Checked reviews, a cheaper badgeClutch says a human editor reads every review before it goes live, and that it rejected 10% of submitted reviews in 2025 for signs of falsified information. GoodFirms says it checks reviewers' business email and LinkedIn and calls a random sample. More people have reviewed Clutch itself (289 on Trustpilot and 29 on G2, against 35 and 8 for GoodFirms), so its record is easier to judge. Its paid badge also costs less: Verified is $499 a year against $588 for GoodFirms PRO. Pay Per Lead (bids from $25, $1,000 monthly minimum) has no GoodFirms equivalent. Clutch trails slightly on organic Trustpilot reviews (3.49 from 135 against 3.68 from 34) and by more on G2 (3.0 against 4.4). Verified and sponsorship lock you in for 12 months with no early cancellation, sponsored firms appear first by default, and sponsorship prices aren't published.
Full Clutch vs GoodFirms comparison →DesignRush
Bid on project leadsDesignRush has a free directory listing and a Marketplace that sells project leads by bid. It publishes its sponsorship prices, which Clutch doesn't: $500 a month, billed quarterly, for the top position in a relevant category, with Standard from $2,000 and Premium from $5,000 a month. Marketplace memberships start at $200 a month with a one-year minimum secured upfront, and bids aren't refunded; if a client goes unresponsive, the bid turns into credits. DesignRush says it only accepts agencies it considers legitimate and professional, and one organic reviewer says it declined their agency without a reason. It shows 4.8 on Trustpilot, but 87 of its latest 100 reviews came through its own review link; the 13 organic ones average 3.69.
DesignRush vs GoodFirms compared →Sortlist
For buyers in EuropeSortlist is a matching marketplace: buyers post a brief and get a shortlist. It says it focuses its marketing on the Benelux, French, and Spanish markets. Profiles are free and open to freelancers, but free profiles show competitors. Sortlist+ costs €129 a month billed annually or €189 billed monthly, with an annual commitment either way, and each opportunity costs credits on top, up to €650. Refunds are paid as platform credit. Its organic Trustpilot reviews are the weakest in this list: 2.26 from 38 of its latest 100.
Clutch vs Sortlist compared →TechBehemoths
Free IT directoryTechBehemoths is a Berlin-based directory of IT companies, made by Mobiteam GmbH, with free quote requests for buyers. Its FAQ calls it "a 100% free platform", yet Trustpilot reviewers describe paid Featured and Top 10 programs, and TechBehemoths doesn't publish their prices or how it verifies reviews. It rates 4.9 from 86 reviews on Trustpilot, but every visible review is five stars and the company asks customers to review it, so the score tells you little.
When to stay with GoodFirms
Stay if GoodFirms already sends you work, or if its recent record matters more to you than the old complaints. Its organic Trustpilot average is slightly higher than Clutch's (3.68 against 3.49), its G2 score is higher (4.4 from 8 reviews against 3.0 from 29), and about half of its reviews since 2025 thank support, several for quick profile fixes. The listing is free if GoodFirms accepts you, which it says happens for about 23% of applicants. It lists sponsorship from $300 a month, a starting price Clutch doesn't publish, although another GoodFirms page says sponsor pricing is available on request.
“Not all updates are possible directly, need to open a case with support and I found their help and response time excellentt.”Ingo, GoodFirms review on Trustpilot, April 2026
Clutch is the better fit if you want reviews that Clutch says an editor reads before they go live, a paid badge for $499 a year instead of $588, or leads you pay for one at a time. The Basic profile is free. Verified is billed upfront for 12 months with no early exit, so read what each Clutch plan includes before you pay.
How we sourced this: on September 27, 2026 we pulled all 35 of GoodFirms' Trustpilot reviews and the 200 Clutch reviews Trustpilot shows without a login. Trustpilot's page data tags each review "Organic" when the reviewer posted it on their own and "BasicLink" when it came through a review link the company shares, and we averaged the two groups separately. G2 figures come from captures of each G2 page (Clutch: February 10, 2026; GoodFirms: December 22, 2025). Prices and terms come from each company's own pages, checked September 27 and 28, 2026. Quotes are verbatim, including the reviewers' spelling.
